YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS
  by Exclusive Studio

Your special day, the one that you have been planning for months, is finally
here. It feels almost as if it is not real. The time has flown by and now you
are desperately afraid that the day will pass far too quickly! The best advice
is – find a special photographer, one who will fit in well with your specific
  needs.

If you really think about it, the choice of which photographer to use is
actually the single most important one that you will make in relation to your
wedding. The reason? Everything that all the other suppliers will give you is
transient. The flowers smell good for a day, the food tastes and smells good
for a few minutes…I can go on and on. Your photographs are actually the
only way to preserve your wedding memories in the minutest detail. Years
down the line you can relive your special day simply by looking at your
  photographs.

For this reason you must make sure that you choose the photographer that is
right for you. But how do you know who the right photographer is? Where do
  you even start?

It is essential to book the photographer well in advance – at least 10 to 12
months before the day. By doing so you can ensure that you have a wide
variety to choose from. If you wait too long, you can miss out on a good
photographer, since the best ones are usually fully booked months before the
  time.

It is also important to meet the photographers you are considering so that
you can make sure that you choose someone whose ideas are compatible
with your own. You need to like the person, irrespective of the price. What
does it help if the photographs are dirt cheap but the person taking them
irritates you? You need to feel comfortable in this person’s presence so that
you can relax and behave naturally on your wedding day. If you feel
uncomfortable, it will be visible in the photographs.

Make the effort to meet at least three photographers. Telephonic
conversations and the internet can be very misleading. You need to see first-
hand what you will be paying for. In this way you can immediately determine
whether or not the person is professional.

Quality is the next aspect of which you must be acutely aware. It is very
important that you find out where and how your photographs are going to be
printed. Why? For a start, you want to be sure that your photographs are not

simply going to be printed on a cheap computer printer! There are indeed
photographers who operate this way and, as a result, their prices may seem
to suit your pocket better. But is this really how you want to have your special
day immortalized? Remember, pennywise can be pound foolish…and
hindsight is always 20/20. You want the product you are paying for to give
you a lifetime of pleasure; not the opposite.

A photographer who has his own laboratory is the safest option – then you
know you will receive a quality product. You may also ask to see the
laboratory where the photographs are going to be printed – this is the easiest
way to ensure that you do not get taken for a ride. A photographer who
claims to develop his own pictures must be able to show you his lab and the
property on which it is situated. Otherwise you can be sure that your
photographs will be sent away to a one-hour photo-lab where speed takes
priority over quality. Remember, you are paying for the product and you
have the right to know everything about it.

Also look at a comprehensive portfolio. The photographs need to speak to
you. What does that mean? The photographs must make you feel excited –
almost as if you have butterflies in your tummy – because you also want
photographs like that. Then you know you have found the right photographer
  for you.

  What influences the cost?
The more photographs are taken and the more time the photographer
spends with you, the more expensive the package will be. If an album,
enlargements or negatives are included, it will naturally cost more.
The qualifications and experience of the photographer will also influence
the cost. The equipment used by the photographer also plays a large role in
determining the price. You cannot expect Rolls Royce results when you are
  only paying tricycle prices.

You are also entitled to ask for the contact numbers of couples who have
already been through the process. Photographers who have nothing to hide
will gladly provide these and may even have a book of comments in which
you can read about other couples’ experiences and their (dis)satisfaction with
the studio in question. If a book like this is available, you can see
immediately that the photographer is proud of his work and has nothing to
  hide.

May organising your wedding be a wonderful experience!
